How to Use Xtreme Gardening MYKOS

For best results, MYKOS should be placed directly around or underneath the roots so the mycorrhizal fungi can make physical contact with the root system. Place the product in the planting hole, position the plant, backfill and water thoroughly.

Containers:

• 1–3 gallon: 1–2 tbsp
• 5–7 gallon: 4–6 tbsp
• 10–20 gallon: 1/2 cup
• 25–50 gallon: 1 cup
• 100 gallon: 2 cups

In-Ground & Raised Beds:
Apply 1–2 tbsp per plant around the planting hole or directly to the roots.

Rockwool Cubes:
Place 1–2 tsp directly beneath the roots in the planting hole.

Sowing Seeds:
Apply approximately 1 tbsp per foot of seed row or 1/2 tsp per cell or plug.

Important Application Note

Direct root contact is important when applying MYKOS. The granular inoculant should be positioned directly beneath or around the root system rather than simply scattered on the soil surface. This allows the beneficial fungi to establish contact with the roots and begin colonization.

Once MYKOS successfully establishes itself with the plant roots, the manufacturer states that it can continue developing throughout the life of the plant. Certain fungicides and high-phosphorus mineral-salt fertilizers may interfere with mycorrhizal fungi.
