Maintain the cleanliness of your grow room to avoid diseases, mould, and pests. Instill a daily cleaning regime and provide good airflow and filters. If these grow room threats are continuing, employ companion plants and insect traps.

The cleaner you keep your grow room, the less likely pathogens, mould, fungal spores, bacteria, and pests will damage your flowers, leaves, and roots. Really take note of the objects or plants introduced into a grow space because of this. Catch mould, disease, and pests before they set in; spend the time at first eradicating them. Be careful not to stunt plant growth by forgetting to attend to these pests, this will impact your harvest.

If you are cultivating with a grow tent, you need to do a specific clean, especially if they are older tents that have experienced pests or mould before. Give your room's ceilings and walls a good wipe down with anti-bacterial wipes and make sure to sweep the floor. The main safety concern in your grow room is the lights. They can burn you or can be set on fire, this is a significant concern for cultivators. As you will usually have multiple lights, thus more than one fire hazard- and the fact that is highly flammable, be very vigilant of safety issues. Reduce fires by always having a fire extinguisher on hand, and train everyone in your grow room how to use it.

Purchase extinguishers that do not leave a chemical residue so as to not ruin your plants after their use. Have smoke detectors throughout the space and test them every month. Lastly, use extension cords and don’t overload circuit breakers while ensuring that electrical devices are kept away from water. All of these steps will improve the cleanliness and security of your grow room.
