TrolMaster Digital Day/Night Remote Controller (BETA-1)
The TrolMaster Digital Day/Night Remote Controller (BETA-1) is a standalone climate-control solution designed for compatible mini-split air conditioners and other AC units operated by an infrared remote control. Instead of manually changing the air conditioner temperature between lights-on and lights-off periods, the BETA-1 automatically switches between separate day and night temperature settings.
The controller learns the infrared commands from the original remote supplied with the air conditioner. Once programmed, the BETA-1 uses its external IR signal emitter to automatically send the appropriate temperature command to the AC unit. A built-in photocell determines whether the growing environment is in day or night mode.
Automatic Day and Night Temperature Control
The BETA-1 allows separate temperature setpoints to be programmed for daytime and nighttime conditions.
Its built-in photocell automatically detects changes between light and dark periods and sends the appropriate infrared command to the air conditioner.
This makes it possible to maintain different temperature targets during:

Learns Your Air Conditioner Remote
The BETA-1 is designed to learn the infrared commands transmitted by the original remote control supplied with the air conditioner.
During setup, the user teaches the BETA-1 the necessary commands and temperature setpoints. Once the learning process is complete, the controller can reproduce those infrared signals automatically.
This allows the BETA-1 to work with many different brands and models of IR remote-controlled mini-split air conditioners without requiring a direct electrical connection to the AC control circuitry.
External Infrared Signal Emitter
The BETA-1 includes an external IR signal emitter that sends the learned commands directly to the air conditioner.
The emitter can be positioned near the AC unit's infrared receiver for reliable communication, while allowing the BETA-1 controller to be mounted in a convenient location.
Because the BETA-1 communicates through infrared signals, the air conditioner continues to operate using its own internal temperature controls while receiving automatically updated temperature setpoints from the BETA-1.
Built-In Day/Night Photocell
A built-in photocell automatically determines whether the environment is in day or night mode.
When lighting conditions change, the BETA-1 sends the corresponding programmed temperature setting to the air conditioner.
This is especially useful in indoor growing environments where different daytime and nighttime temperature targets are desired.
Remote Temperature Monitoring
The BETA-1 uses a remote temperature sensor to monitor conditions within the growing environment.
The sensor can be positioned closer to the plant canopy using its 16 ft (4.88 m) cable, providing a more representative measurement of the actual growing-area temperature.
The controller also uses temperature monitoring as an additional safeguard. If the measured room temperature differs significantly from the selected temperature setting, the BETA-1 can resend the infrared command to the air conditioner.
Automatic Recovery After Power Loss
The BETA-1 includes a useful power-reset function.
If power to the controller is interrupted, the BETA-1 automatically resends the appropriate infrared command after power is restored. This helps return the air conditioner to the correct programmed temperature setting without requiring manual intervention.
LCD Display and Simple Programming
The integrated LCD display makes it easy to configure and review the controller settings.

Compatible With
The TrolMaster BETA-1 is designed for many air conditioners that use an infrared remote control, particularly mini-split systems.
It is intended for use with:
- Compatible mini-split air conditioners
- Compatible IR remote-controlled AC units
- Air conditioners whose original remote commands can be learned by the BETA-1
According to TrolMaster, the BETA-1 is currently not compatible with certain air-conditioning brands, including:
- Daiken
- Mr. Cool
- Innovair
- Cooper and Hunter
Compatibility should always be confirmed before installation, particularly with newer or proprietary remote-control systems.

International Orders

Items shipped internationally from the USA may have VAT, duties, taxes, and/or local charges due at delivery. These charges are the responsibility of the customer and not Canada Grow Supplies Inc.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel your order, we recommend reaching out to us ASAP. We charge a 2.9% (credit card), 3.5% (PayPal), 4.0% (PayPal International), 4.1% (American Express), or 6.5% (Shop Pay Installments or Sezzle) order cancellation fee after the order was received. We can accommodate most requests, but due to the different time zones and schedules that our warehouses ship from, sometimes the cancellation request may not reach the warehouse in time before the product ships. Once the item has been arranged to ship or has shipped, the package will be treated like a 'return' and is subject to ship-back fees and restocking fees. If you purchased 'Route Package Protection', this can not be refunded after the order has shipped.
