TrolMaster CO₂ Sensor for Hydro-X only (MBS-S8)
The TrolMaster CO₂ Sensor for Hydro-X only (MBS-S8) is a dedicated CO₂ sensor designed to measure carbon dioxide levels within grow rooms, greenhouses, and controlled growing environments using the TrolMaster Hydro-X system. By continuously monitoring CO₂ concentration in PPM, the MBS-S8 gives the Hydro-X controller the information required to automate compatible supplemental CO₂ equipment.
When combined with one or more TrolMaster DSC-1 CO₂ Device Stations, the MBS-S8 allows the Hydro-X system to automatically activate or deactivate compatible CO₂ regulators, generators, and other CO₂-control equipment according to programmed settings.
Real-Time CO₂ Monitoring
The MBS-S8 continuously measures CO₂ concentration within the growing area and sends the information directly to the Hydro-X controller.
This allows growers to monitor current CO₂ conditions and use those readings as part of an automated environmental-control strategy.
When CO₂ levels move outside the programmed settings, the Hydro-X system can respond through compatible control modules and can provide alerts through the TrolMaster platform.
Automated Supplemental CO₂ Control
The MBS-S8 is designed to work with compatible DSC-1 CO₂ Device Stations to automate supplemental CO₂ equipment.
Depending on the equipment connected, the Hydro-X system can control devices such as:
- CO₂ regulators
- CO₂ solenoid valves
- CO₂ generators
- Compatible supplemental CO₂ equipment
The sensor provides the CO₂ measurement while the Hydro-X controller determines when the connected equipment should operate.
Built-In Day/Night Photocell
The MBS-S8 includes a built-in photocell that detects whether the growing environment is in day or night mode.
This allows the Hydro-X system to coordinate CO₂ control with the lighting cycle, helping prevent supplemental CO₂ equipment from operating when it is not required.
The photocell detects the presence or absence of light rather than measuring light intensity.
RJ12 Plug-and-Play Connection
The MBS-S8 connects directly to the Hydro-X sensor network using an RJ12 connection.
The sensor includes a 16 ft (4.88 m) RJ12 cable and an RJ12 T-splitter, making it easy to integrate alongside other compatible Hydro-X sensors.
Its plug-and-play design simplifies both initial installation and future expansion of the environmental-control system.
Designed for Hydro-X HCS-1
The MBS-S8 is specifically designed as the dedicated CO₂ sensor for the TrolMaster Hydro-X Environment Control System (HCS-1).
A Hydro-X HCS-1 system can use the MBS-S8 to add CO₂ monitoring to its existing temperature, humidity, lighting, and environmental-control capabilities.
When supplemental CO₂ control is required, one or more compatible DSC-1 modules can be added to operate the connected CO₂ equipment.

International Orders

Items shipped internationally from the USA may have VAT, duties, taxes, and/or local charges due at delivery. These charges are the responsibility of the customer and not Canada Grow Supplies Inc.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel your order, we recommend reaching out to us ASAP. We charge a 2.9% (credit card), 3.5% (PayPal), 4.0% (PayPal International), 4.1% (American Express), or 6.5% (Shop Pay Installments or Sezzle) order cancellation fee after the order was received. We can accommodate most requests, but due to the different time zones and schedules that our warehouses ship from, sometimes the cancellation request may not reach the warehouse in time before the product ships. Once the item has been arranged to ship or has shipped, the package will be treated like a 'return' and is subject to ship-back fees and restocking fees. If you purchased 'Route Package Protection', this can not be refunded after the order has shipped.
Returns
