TrolMaster CO₂ Emergency Stop Station (DSE-1)
The TrolMaster CO₂ Emergency Stop Station (DSE-1) is a safety control module designed for use with the TrolMaster Carbon-X CO₂ Alarm System. Its primary function is to automatically shut off the facility’s CO₂ supply when a high CO₂ concentration, system fault, or communication failure is detected.
During normal operation, the DSE-1 supplies power to a compatible CO₂ solenoid valve. If Carbon-X detects an unsafe CO₂ condition or system fault, the DSE-1 automatically cuts power to the valve, stopping the flow of CO₂. This fail-safe operation provides an important additional layer of protection for grow rooms, greenhouses, and commercial controlled-environment facilities using supplemental CO₂.
Automatic Emergency CO₂ Shutoff
The DSE-1 controls the main solenoid valve supplying CO₂ to the facility.
Under normal operating conditions, the station powers the connected valve. If the Carbon-X system detects a high CO₂ concentration or fault, power to the DSE-1 output is automatically disabled.
This causes a compatible normally closed CO₂ solenoid valve to close, helping stop the CO₂ supply during an alarm condition.
Fail-Safe Communication Protection
The DSE-1 also includes fail-safe protection if communication with the Carbon-X controller is lost.
If the station can no longer communicate with Carbon-X, power to the controlled output is automatically disabled. This helps prevent the CO₂ supply from remaining active if communication between the controller and emergency-stop station is interrupted.
Integration with Carbon-X
The DSE-1 operates as part of the TrolMaster Carbon-X CO₂ safety system.
Carbon-X continuously monitors connected CO₂ sensors. When an unsafe CO₂ concentration or system fault is detected, the system can coordinate several emergency responses, including:
- Shutting off the main CO₂ supply with the DSE-1
- Activating ventilation equipment
- Triggering audible and visual alarms
- Sending remote notifications
- Activating compatible facility or fire-alarm interfaces
This allows the DSE-1 to form part of a centralized and automated CO₂ safety strategy.

The DSE-1 supports an output current of up to 10A, allowing it to control compatible CO₂ solenoid-valve equipment within its electrical rating.
The unit supports 100–240 VAC, 50/60 Hz input and output according to TrolMaster’s published specifications.

LED Status Indicator
The DSE-1 includes an LED indicator that provides quick visual information about the station's operating status.
The indicator can show whether the module is:
- Waiting to be addressed or not communicating correctly

This makes it easier to verify operation during installation, maintenance, or troubleshooting.
RJ12 Plug-and-Play Connection

International Orders

Items shipped internationally from the USA may have VAT, duties, taxes, and/or local charges due at delivery. These charges are the responsibility of the customer and not Canada Grow Supplies Inc.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel your order, we recommend reaching out to us ASAP. We charge a 2.9% (credit card), 3.5% (PayPal), 4.0% (PayPal International), 4.1% (American Express), or 6.5% (Shop Pay Installments or Sezzle) order cancellation fee after the order was received. We can accommodate most requests, but due to the different time zones and schedules that our warehouses ship from, sometimes the cancellation request may not reach the warehouse in time before the product ships. Once the item has been arranged to ship or has shipped, the package will be treated like a 'return' and is subject to ship-back fees and restocking fees. If you purchased 'Route Package Protection', this can not be refunded after the order has shipped.
