HYSHIELD Ingredients
HYSHIELD’s unique formula is derived from exoskeletons of crustaceans. Chitosan, the active ingredient in HYSHIELD, is extracted from crab shells, which are a by-product of the crab fisheries.
Chitosan as a derivate of the naturally occurring compound Chitin, when given to plants helps activate the plant’s natural defense mechanisms fighting any potential diseases, pests and pathogens.
HYSHIELD has been created with an environmentally sustainable approach in mind using crab and shrimp shells that would otherwise be discarded in landfills.

IS HYSHIELD A REPLACEMENT PRODUCT FOR MY CURRENT NUTRIENT?
No, you need to continue with your normal feeding regimen. HYSHIELD does not replace your nutrients, however it does enhance overall plant nutrition.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I USE HYSHIELD?
FOLIAR APPLICATION: Dilute 0.12 – 0.25 oz per gallon (1 mL – 2 mL per L) of water and spray with lights turned off on foliage 3-5 times per week.
HYDROPONICS/SOIL/AND OTHER GROWING MEDIUMS: Mix 0.12 – 0.25 oz per gallon (1 mL – 2 mL per L) of water or nutrient solution. Recommended to be used with every watering or as determined by your feeding schedule. (Only use with water soluble nutrients)
DRENCH APPLICATION: Dilute 0.12 – 0.25 oz per gallon (1 mL to 2 mL per L) of water and apply directly to root zone 3-5 times per week.
DO I NEED TO CHECK MY PH LEVEL WHILE USING HYSHIELD?
Yes, when applying HYSHIELD™, we highly recommend checking your pH level to ensure it is at the optimal pH of 5.8 for the best results.
CAN I USE HYSHIELD WITH ANY GROW MEDIA?
Yes, HYSHIELD can be used with any grow medium
CAN I USE H202 WITH HYSHIELD?
HYSHIELD™ is compatible with H2O2 and can be used in conjunction with it.
WHAT IS THE EXPIRATION DATE OF HYSHIELD?
Every container of HYSHIELD has an EXPIRATION DATE printed on the container. Check the bottom back side of the container for the EXP stamp.
HOW LONG TILL I SHOULD SEE RESULTS WITH HYSHIELD™?
HYSHIELD should be applied throughout your grow. It enhances the conditions for better plant establishment and growth. You will notice results throughout your grow and higher yields at the end of your growing cycle.
I SEE PRODUCTS IN THE MARKET WITH HIGHER LEVELS OF CHITOSAN, DOES THIS MEAN THEIR PRODUCT IS BETTER THAN HYSHIELD?
No, the grade and quality of chitosan can be very different depending on it’s source. HYSHIELD’s Chitosan is specifically selected for it’s molecular weight and degree of deacetylation to provide the highest benefits to plants.
CAN I USE HYGROZYME WITH HYSHIELD?
It is recommended to apply HYSHIELD separately from HYGROZYME. While HYGROZYME is typically combined with your nutrient and/or watering regimen, HYSHIELD should be applied separately and fed directly to your plants if used as drench application.
CAN I SPRAY HYSHIELD ON MY PLANTS?
Yes, foliar spray is one of the most effective ways to apply HYSHIELD to plants and trigger it’s benefits.

Payment is captured as soon as the order is placed. In rare cases, if the product is on backorder or unavailable, we will contact you and ask if you would like to wait for the product to become available, switch your product, or have your payment refunded. Shipping
Most products ship within 1 to 3 business days. Some items might take longer as they are delivered from our warehouse in Vancouver. As soon as we receive your tracking number, we will send it over to you.

Free shipping is available across all provinces throughout Canada for orders over 149$.
International Orders
Nearly all of our brands can be shipped internationally using FedEx, UPS, USPS, DHL or other couriers. Most quotes can be obtained at checkout. If not, you can email us at info@canadagrowsupplies.com for some more information on shipment.
Items shipped internationally from the USA may have VAT, duties, taxes, and/or local charges due at delivery. These charges are the responsibility of the customer and not Canada Grow Supplies Inc.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel your order, we recommend reaching out to us ASAP. We charge a 2.9% (credit card), 3.5% (PayPal), 4.0% (PayPal International), 4.1% (American Express), or 6.5% (Shop Pay Installments or Sezzle) order cancellation fee after the order was received. We can accommodate most requests, but due to the different time zones and schedules that our warehouses ship from, sometimes the cancellation request may not reach the warehouse in time before the product ships. Once the item has been arranged to ship or has shipped, the package will be treated like a 'return' and is subject to ship-back fees and restocking fees. If you purchased 'Route Package Protection', this can not be refunded after the order has shipped.
Returns
In order to make sure you are completely satisfied, we can send you a return label within 14 days of receiving the order. This is to guarantee that you are happy with the product. Some products might require a 10-25% restocking fee. Please visit our full return policy.
