Why Choose House & Garden Algen Extract?
Norwegian sea kelp is valued in horticulture for its naturally occurring nutrients and biologically active compounds.
House & Garden uses cold-pressed seaweed extracts to create a concentrated supplement that supports plant development without replacing the essential nutrients provided by a complete fertilizer.
Algen Extract is particularly beneficial during vegetative growth, when plants are actively developing leaves, stems, and root systems.
By encouraging the formation of fine root hairs, this additive helps increase the root surface area available for absorbing water and trace elements.
Norwegian Sea Kelp and Root Development
Algen Extract is derived from Norwegian sea kelp, including Ascophyllum nodosum, a brown seaweed widely used in horticultural products.
Seaweed naturally contains plant compounds such as amino acids, polysaccharides, and other organic substances associated with plant growth.
Its specialized formulation supports three important areas of plant development:
Root Hair Formation: Encourages the development of fine root hairs that increase the root system's absorbing surface.
Trace Element Uptake: Supports the plant's ability to absorb micronutrients through an actively developing root system.
Vegetative Growth: Helps maintain healthy plant development during periods of active leaf and stem production.
When incorporated into a balanced feeding program, Algen Extract provides additional support for vigorous plant growth.
