Calcium and Magnesium Throughout the Plant Cycle
GreenPlanet Pro Cal provides two important secondary nutrients: calcium and magnesium.
Calcium is an important structural component of plant cell walls and is especially relevant during the development of new plant tissue. It also participates in nutrient movement and normal root-zone nutrient uptake.
Magnesium forms part of the chlorophyll molecule and therefore plays an essential role in photosynthesis. Providing an accessible source of magnesium helps support normal plant function during both vegetative growth and flowering.
More Than a Basic Cal-Mag Supplement
Pro Cal provides more than calcium and magnesium. Its guaranteed analysis also includes several primary and micronutrients:
- 2% nitrogen
- 1.5% calcium
- 0.5% magnesium
- 0.02% boron
- 0.05% iron
- 0.02% manganese
- 0.02% zinc
The iron, manganese, and zinc are supplied in chelated forms to help maintain their availability within the nutrient solution.
This broader nutrient profile makes Pro Cal a practical supplement for growers who want to provide calcium and magnesium while also supplying additional trace elements as part of their feeding program.
Supports Periods of Active Growth
Plants require a consistent supply of nutrients while producing new leaves, stems, roots, and flowers.
Calcium is particularly important for newly developing tissue because of its role in cell-wall structure, while magnesium is closely associated with chlorophyll and photosynthesis.
GreenPlanet designed Pro Cal as a supplemental source of these elements for use throughout the plant cycle, including both the vegetative and flowering stages.
Complements Your Existing Nutrient Program
Pro Cal is an additive, not a replacement, for your base nutrients.
It is designed to be incorporated alongside an established fertilizer program when you need additional calcium, magnesium, and micronutrient supplementation.
This makes it especially convenient for growers who want to maintain their preferred base nutrient system while adding a dedicated calcium and magnesium supplement.
Simple Application
GreenPlanet recommends using Pro Cal at:
- 1.25 mL/L
-
Approximately 4.5 mL/gal
Use Pro Cal with your regular feeding schedule at every feeding as needed.
Add the recommended amount to your water or nutrient solution and mix thoroughly before application. Always consider the nutrient concentration already provided by your base fertilizer when incorporating additional supplements.
Suitable for Multiple Growing Systems
GreenPlanet Pro Cal can be incorporated into several cultivation methods, including:
- Hydroponic systems
- Drain-to-waste systems
- Recirculating systems
- Soil
- Soilless growing media
This versatility makes Pro Cal easy to integrate into a wide range of indoor and outdoor feeding programs.
