TrolMaster 3-in-1 Water Content Sensor (WCS-2)

The TrolMaster 3-in-1 Water Content Sensor (WCS-2) monitors three key root-zone conditions directly in the growing medium: water content, substrate temperature, and electrical conductivity (EC). By providing real-time root-zone information, the WCS-2 helps growers better understand irrigation performance, nutrient concentration, and substrate dry-back.

The sensor uses a five-prong probe assembly that is inserted directly into the growing medium. Once calibrated for the selected substrate and nutrient solution, the WCS-2 continuously monitors conditions and sends the data to a compatible TrolMaster control system.

Three Root-Zone Measurements in One Sensor

The WCS-2 combines three important substrate measurements:

  • Water Content (WC) – monitors the percentage of water present in the growing medium
  • Temperature – measures the temperature directly within the root zone
  • Electrical Conductivity (EC) – monitors nutrient concentration within the substrate

Real-Time Monitoring and Crop Steering

When connected to a compatible TrolMaster controller, the WCS-2 provides continuous readings of substrate moisture, temperature, and EC.

Growers can use this information to monitor dry-back patterns, adjust irrigation timing, and evaluate nutrient concentration within the growing medium. With compatible Aqua-X controllers, substrate water-content readings can also be used as part of automated irrigation and crop-steering strategies.

Alarm limits can be configured for monitored parameters, allowing compatible TrolMaster systems to send mobile notifications when readings move outside the selected range.

The WCS-2 uses a five-prong sensor assembly designed to be inserted directly into growing media such as:

International Orders

Cancellations

If you need to cancel your order, we recommend reaching out to us ASAP. We can accommodate most requests, but due to the different time zones and schedules that our warehouses ship from, sometimes the cancellation request may not reach the warehouse in time before the product ships. Once the item has been arranged to ship or has shipped, the package will be treated like a 'return' and is subject to ship-back fees and restocking fees. If you purchased 'Route Package Protection', this can not be refunded after the order has shipped.
