The AutoPot FlexiPot 80 XL System Kit is a large-scale, automatic, gravity-fed irrigation system designed for commercial growers, greenhouses, and professional cultivation facilities. Combining AutoPot’s proven irrigation technology with 80 high-performance 5 gal (20 L) fabric FlexiPots, this system efficiently irrigates many plants automatically without electricity, water pumps, or timers.

Each plant has its own 1Pot XL tray, AQUAvalve5, and FlexiPot, so water or compatible nutrient solution is delivered automatically based on the water level in each tray.

The system can be configured with or without a reservoir. With a reservoir, the FlexiPot 80 XL uses a large 750 L (approximately 198 gal) FlexiTank, providing ample capacity for a commercial-scale gravity-fed installation.

80 Individually Controlled Growing Sites

The AutoPot FlexiPot 80 XL System Kit provides 80 individual growing modules, each controlled by its own AQUAvalve5.

Rather than supplying every plant according to a fixed timer schedule, each AQUAvalve5 responds to the water level in its own tray. Once the plant has used the available water, the valve allows the tray to refill before automatically shutting off the supply again.

This provides automatic irrigation with:

5 gal (20 L) Fabric FlexiPots

The system includes 80 x 5 gal (20 L) fabric FlexiPots specifically designed for use with AutoPot 1Pot XL trays.

The porous fabric construction allows improved gas exchange around the growing medium and root zone compared with conventional rigid containers.

As roots reach the porous walls of the FlexiPot, exposure to air naturally discourages the root tips from continuing outward. This process, commonly called air pruning, encourages secondary root development and helps reduce excessive root circling.

The result is a dense, fibrous root structure that can efficiently access moisture and nutrients throughout the growing medium.

PotSock Round Root Control

Fit each FlexiPot with a PotSock Round at its base when used in an AutoPot irrigation system.

The PotSock helps prevent roots from growing out of the fabric pot and entering the irrigation tray or AQUAvalve area. One PotSock Round is included for each of the 80 FlexiPots.

Proper root control helps maintain reliable AQUAvalve operation and makes routine system maintenance easier.

Flexible Commercial Layout

Because the AutoPot XL trays operate as individual modules, growers are not restricted to one permanently fixed configuration.

Growers can reposition individual pots and trays as plants grow, creating extra spacing without rebuilding the entire irrigation system.

AutoPot lists an approximate floor space requirement of:

Reusable and Low-Maintenance

The AutoPot FlexiPots are designed for repeated use. After each crop, you can let the fabric pots dry, brush them to remove loose growing medium and fine roots, and then clean them before the next growing cycle.

Because the irrigation system works through gravity and mechanical AQUAvalve5 control, no electrical irrigation controller, pump or timer is needed during normal operation.

Regular inspection and cleaning of the reservoir, filter, tubing, trays and AQUAvalve5 units will help maintain reliable water flow across the entire 80-site installation.

Important Indoor Humidity Consideration

Fabric pots expose more growing-medium surface area to the surrounding air than rigid plastic containers. When using 80 FlexiPots indoors, this can increase humidity in the growing environment.

Adequate ventilation, air circulation, dehumidification and environmental monitoring are therefore especially important in large indoor installations. AutoPot specifically notes that multiple FlexiPots may increase room humidity because of their porous surfaces.
