Aquafog Turbo XE 2000-HS Fans

The Aquafog Turbo XE 2000-HS Fans are professional high-output hanging-sump centrifugal fogging systems designed for industrial humidification, evaporative cooling, greenhouse environmental control, horticultural applications, agricultural facilities, and compatible chemical fogging.

Available in two electrical configurations — XE-2000-HS and XE-2000-HS-50Hz — these powerful Turbo XE fog fans combine Jaybird’s largest centrifugal atomizer platform with a 3 US gal / 11.3 L recirculating sump, long-distance fog projection, adjustable output, and nozzle-free operation.

Because the hanging-sump system captures and recirculates unused water, it requires no floor drain, making the Turbo XE 2000-HS especially practical for facilities with limited drainage access or where additional plumbing would be inconvenient.

These two configurations allow facilities to choose the electrical version that best matches their installation.

3-Gallon Recirculating Hanging Sump

The Turbo XE 2000-HS includes an integrated 3 US gal / 11.3 L recirculating sump tank.

Unused water is captured and returned to the fogging system instead of being discharged through a drain line. This design helps conserve water while simplifying installation.

The hanging-sump system includes:

The Turbo XE platform is Aquafog’s largest centrifugal atomizer class and is designed for demanding large-area applications.

60 Hz performance includes:

• Fog propulsion of approximately 30–35 ft
• Cooling capacity of approximately 119,800 BTU/h

50 Hz performance includes:

• Net output up to 45 L/h
• Approximately 2,500 CFM airflow

Typical particle sizes include:

• Approximately 5–10 microns at low output
• Approximately 20 microns at medium output
• Approximately 25 microns at high output

The adjustable output allows the operator to select a finer, drier fog for humidity control or a heavier output for large-area evaporative cooling.

Simple 1/4-Turn Flow Control

The fogging output is controlled with a manual 1/4-turn ball valve.

Typical settings include:

• Fully open – evaporative cooling, greenhouse cooling, concrete curing and mushroom growing
• Mid open – general humidification, horticulture, wine-barrel storage, wood, lumber and paper applications
• Slightly open – textile humidification, dust suppression, static control and lighter treatment applications

Starting with a lower flow setting helps create finer fog and reduce unnecessary wetting.

Nozzle-Free Centrifugal Atomization

The Turbo XE uses Aquafog’s centrifugal atomization system rather than small conventional misting nozzles.

Water enters the rotating atomizer, where centrifugal force, accelerated airflow, and atomizing pins break it into fine droplets.

This design provides:

• No small fogging nozzles to clog
• No high-pressure pump required
• Adjustable particle size
• Strong air propulsion
• High-volume fog production

The DH-120 provides digital humidity control for one XE unit, while the H-120 provides simple mechanical humidity control. The TC-180 allows timed operation, and the TH-180 provides temperature-based control for evaporative cooling.

Jaybird’s manufacturer documentation specifically identifies XE-361 and H-240 as the higher-voltage options for 50 Hz installations.

Optional XE-360 / XE-361 Oscillation

Adding the compatible Aquafog oscillator increases fog coverage and improves air circulation.

The oscillator provides:

• Adjustable sweeps from approximately 15° to 360°
• Continuous dwell-free movement
• Full 360° rotation in approximately 3 minutes
• Stainless-steel enclosure
• Coverage patterns up to approximately 70 ft in diameter

Use XE-360 for compatible 115 V systems and XE-361 for 220–250 V installations.

Oscillation is recommended primarily for indoor applications.
