The Aquafog Turbo XE 2000 Fans are professional high-output direct-feed centrifugal fogging systems designed for industrial humidification, evaporative cooling, greenhouse environmental control, dust suppression, horticultural applications, agricultural facilities, and compatible chemical fogging.

Available in two electrical configurations — XE-2000 and XE-2000-3Ph — these powerful fog fans combine Aquafog’s largest centrifugal atomizer platform with approximately 3,000 CFM airflow, up to 15.8 GPH net fogging output, a stainless-steel flowmeter panel, and strong long-distance fog projection.

Unlike conventional high-pressure misting systems, the Turbo XE uses nozzle-free centrifugal atomization, eliminating small clog-prone nozzles and the need for high-pressure pumps while providing adjustable, high-volume fog production.

This gives commercial and industrial facilities the flexibility to select either a single-phase or three-phase electrical configuration according to their available power supply.

Direct-Feed Centrifugal Fogging

The Turbo XE 2000 is a direct-feed fogging system, meaning it connects directly to a pressurized water supply rather than operating from a recirculating tank.

Every direct-feed Turbo XE is equipped with a stainless-steel visual flowmeter panel that lets the operator monitor and precisely adjust the water entering the centrifugal atomizer.

Recommended water-supply pressure is approximately:

• 10–100 PSI

Because the direct-feed system does not use a recirculating sump, excess water must be discharged through a drain line.

Multiple Flowmeter Options

The Turbo XE can be configured with different flowmeter ranges depending on the desired fogging characteristics.

Available flowmeter ranges include:

• 1–5 GPH – up to approximately 4.5 GPH net output
• 2–10 GPH – up to approximately 7.5 GPH net output
• 3–15 GPH – up to approximately 10 GPH net output
• 5–25 GPH – up to approximately 15 GPH net output
• 8–32 GPH – up to approximately 15.8–16 GPH net output

Lower flowmeter ranges generally produce finer, drier fog, while higher flow rates produce more fog volume, larger droplets, greater cooling capacity, and increased drain-off.

For humidification applications, selecting the smallest flowmeter that comfortably covers the required output generally provides the driest fog.

Water Solenoid Required for Automatic Operation

A direct-feed Turbo XE should always include a water-solenoid shutoff valve when the system operates automatically or through an existing external controller.

The solenoid automatically stops water flow when power to the fog fan is interrupted or switched off, preventing unwanted water flow when the atomizer is not operating.

Aquafog direct-feed control packages include an appropriate water solenoid.

For manual installations or systems using an existing controller, install a separate Turbo XE Water Solenoid in the water-supply line.

Nozzle-Free Centrifugal Atomization

Aquafog’s centrifugal atomization system uses a rotating atomizing blade, accelerated airflow, and atomizing pins to break incoming water into extremely fine droplets.

This design offers several advantages:

The DH-120-DF provides digital humidity control for one Turbo XE, while the DH2-36-DF can control one or two units. Both include water-solenoid control for direct-feed operation.

The H2-120 provides simple mechanical humidity control, the TC-120 provides timer-based operation, and the TH1-120 / TH2-120 controls are designed for temperature-based evaporative-cooling applications.

Compatibility for XE-2000-3Ph

The XE-2000-3Ph requires electrical control equipment properly rated for its 208–230/460 V three-phase motor.

Do not connect standard 115 V Aquafog electrical controls directly to the three-phase motor circuit unless incorporated into a properly engineered motor-starter, contactor, transformer, or control system.

Adding a compatible Aquafog oscillator can increase fog coverage and improve air circulation.

The XE oscillator system provides:

• Adjustable sweep from approximately 15° to 360°
• Continuous movement without dwell points
• Full 360° rotation in approximately 3 minutes

• Coverage patterns up to approximately 70 ft in diameter

Oscillation is primarily recommended for indoor installations. For windy outdoor environments, a stationary installation is generally preferred.
