Atomizers, also referred to as mist makers or foggers, use ultrasonic energy to change liquids into particles that are cloud-like in form. They work to foster humidity in the root zone and stop the medium from drenching.
With an atomizer, it is best to always use distilled water. An atomizer may be useful for the propagation of seeds, and perhaps clones. Be sure to keep the fog in the room at a relative humidity level as mildew or mould will be a likely aftermath of too moist an environment. There is the possibility of using foliar feed in the atomizer.
Ensure a few things about your atomizer when using it. Look at the spray head of the atomizer, is it air-tight and will it have excellent heat dissipation performance? Make sure that the pressure and current of the circuit are stable. Try to find one with protection against water shortages, and that has control over temperature, with noise reduction treatments. You are looking for more than a built-in water shortage protection function and a switch for onboard temperature protection; the main thing is the high-performance with lots of humidity fog. These have industrial applications as well as agricultural and are perfect to use in a grow room or tent.
An example of how to use an atomizer would be to start with a large 25-gallon bucket and 4 air stones. This will be linked to various 5-gallon buckets through piping that is 2-inch PVC. Have electronic and waterproof fans force the mixture through to the top of the bucket which will above connect each of the 5-gallon buckets. Additionally, place air stones in an easy bucket measuring around 3-4 inches at the bottom for proper deep water culture; in almost all setups, there will be an overflow .5-inch pipe that funnels back to the 25-gallon bucket.
